I am originally from Twin Falls Idaho. I have two sisters, Lisa and Temple, and one brother, Martin. After graduating high school in 2001 I attended Trinidad State Junior College in Trinidad, Colorado on a full ride volleyball scholarship. I was accompanied by my older sister, Lisa. After graduating I then transferred to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. I was fortunate enough to get to play volleyball there with both of my sisters. I graduated in 2006 with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science (Specialist Option) with plans on pursuing a Masters in Nutrition. However, I couldn't ignore the thought of making a living working with horses everyday. Afterall, when your doing what you love its not really work right?
I have been fascinated with horses since I can remember. My parents got us kids a horse for Christmas when I was about 9 or 10. My siblings never had a chance, I just kinda took over and before you knew it she was my horse. She wasn't broke then and we didn't have the first clue what to do. Needless to say I got the wind knocked out of me more than once. If it hadn't been for help from Darla Wadsworth I never would have got as far as I have. I rode that little mare almost everyday and was convinced at that point she was allI would ever need like any typical horse crazy girl. I was constantly asking myself what I need to do to get my horse to respond like the ones I saw the "pro's" ride. Since then I ate up any information, good or bad, I could get like it was candy. I paid to go to several demonstrations and attending anything that had to do with horses. I didn't talk much when I was a kid because of my stutter so I didn't ask many questions, I just watched and learned and then went home and tried it on my horse. I sucked up any knowledge from what books or videos could teach me like a sponge. I always enjoyed learning from Clinton Anderson and Chris Cox videos.

After graduating college I got the opportunity to go and ride with Twister Heller. I spent a couple months there and became close friends with him and his lovely wife, Sandy. Twister trains horses for the public, raises and sells his own, and also trains people. Twister has 50 years of experience. Over a span of 27 years Twister Heller has been featured and revisited in several issues of National and International publication Western Horseman Magazine, and most recently see the articles in Working Ranch Magazine. I consider the Hellers good friends and look forward to working with them in the future.
Thanks to the Hellers I am now raising my own horses. I had my first crop of foals the spring of 2009 and am looking forward to the next. I have really enjoyed working with the babies and can't wait to break them when they are old enough. Depending on their individual personalities and abilities I plan to train them on barrels, roping, cutting, and or just a nice all around horse for someone.
Over the last three years I have been training at George Kenners place in Bayfield, Colorado. I owe a special thanks to him for letting me have a place to train. I couldn't have done it without him. George and Donna Kenner treated me like their own daughter. I was fortunate to of been considered part of the family over the past six years. I also owe a special thanks to Justin Catalano of Catalano Farms for what he has done for me and the opportunities he has given me. I look forward to sharing ideas and working with Justin in the future. For now I will continue to enjoy riding and learning from different trainers to study what makes them each successful. I plan to eventually compete on my own horses I have raised and supply people with good quality horses that they can take to the next level and compete on as well.
When I'm not riding I enjoy doing many other things. I love snowboarding, swimming, volleyball, dancing, listening to good music, playing the piano, movies, good books, playing games (especially chess), cooking, traveling, and I love trying new things.
